Indian govt orders to block 119 apps from Google Play

Hi Readers,

The Indian government has ordered the blocking of 119 apps on the Google Play Store, with the majority of these apps originating from China and Hong Kong. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) issued the blocking orders under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act, which allows the government to block public access to online content for reasons of national security, sovereignty, or public order1.
